The Racine Liberty Belles Color Guard was organized by Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Kisler in 1968.

Part of their uniform consisted of a three-pointed Paul Revere hat.

The age range of the Liberty Belles was from 12 - 21 and the average age in 1970 was 15 years old.

During the winter the Liberty Belles Color Guard compteted in the Midwest Color Guard Circuit. The Liberty Belles
were also affiliated with the Baderland Drum and Bugle Corps Association and Parade Specialties, Inc.

During the summer of 1969 the Liberty Belles Color Guard captured first place in five competitions and second in
three.

In 1970 the Liberty Belles just missed making finals at the Midwest Color Guard Circuit Championship by placing
11th in Open Class out of 23 competing color guards.  Only the top ten made finals.  However, in the summer of
1970 the Liberty Belles Color Guard went undefeated in color guard competition including winning the Wisconsin
VFW State Color Guard Championship.

The Liberty Belles Color Guard took second place honors in 1971 at the Badgerland Winter Color Guard
Championship.  15 color guards entered Open Class competition.  The Liberty Belles Commanding Officer, Sue
Eiserhut took home the trophy for top C. O. in Open Class.  Sue also captured top Sabre and Debbie Nelson, also
of the Liberty Belles, took second place in Sabre.

At the 1971 Midwest Color Guard Circuit Championship twenty-seven color guards competed in Open Class
Prelims with ten making the finals.  The Liberty Belles took fourth in prelims and placed third in finals.

In the summer of 1971 The Liberty Belles again won the Wisconsin VFW State Color Guard Championship.
