THE RACINE ELKS MARCHING CLUB
Elks Marching Club photographed at the former Elks Building at 601 Lake Avenue.  Note:
The original Hotel Racine in background on right and also note that the third member
from the left in the bottom row is holding a bugle.  The Racine Elks Marching Club was
very active in the 1920's and the 1930's.  Marching clubs, later called drill teams, were a
popular activity of the Elks back then.  Marching club/drill team competitions were
featured at both the annual Wisconsin Elks convention as well as at the annual national
Elks convention during this time.
