ABOVE & BELOW:  The right and left halves of a panoramic photo taken of the Boys of 76 drum and bugle corps at the 1950 American Legion National Convention at Los Angeles, CA.
The person standing directly behind the bass drum in the center of this photo is Harald Kahlert who also was the Kilties first drum major in 1936.  This photo is so large that I had to piece it
together from four scans.
ABOVE:  1951 Boys of 76 drum and bugle corps on Monument square in downtown Racine.
ABOVE:  This photo was taken of the Boys of 76 on Randall's
Island in New York City at the American Legion National
Convention in August, 1952.
ABOVE:  Taken in approximately 1950, this photo
depicts General Douglas MacArthur, Supreme
Commander of the Southwest Pacific in World War
II, going through Racine on his way to Washington,
D.C., to deliver his farewell speach before the Joint
Session of the U.S. Congress after being relieved of
his command by President Harry S. Truman.  The
photo is taken overlooking the southwest corner of
Main and Sixth Streets with the Boys of 76 in the
background.
BOTH THE RIGHT & LEFT PHOTOS show the
Boys of 76 on the field performing at the 1950
American Legion National Championship in Los
Angeles, California.
